How it Started

Interdiciplinary Research Project

This concept started out as a final year research project at The London Interdiciplinary School. I wanted to tackle the problem of langauge learning and how to make it immersive, accesible and engaining to young adults. I also felt that language leanring is intertwined with culture and so the use of AI should never be to replace the voices of teachers or people sharing their experince. Instead, I saw AI and Machine Learning as tools to make these voices accesible to people accross the world. This is why for this project, I built a model that would effectively classify videos into CEFR levels, which is the first step towards building LINGUA.
